Not professional advice. 3rd Chair is a self-help tool that uses artificial intelligence to offer general suggestions about relationships. It is not therapy, counselling, legal advice, or medical advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional. AI-generated responses can be wrong or incomplete.
Emergencies. If you or someone else is in danger, contact your local emergency services immediately. This app is not an emergency or crisis service.
Your responsibility. Decisions you make about your relationships are your own. You agree not to rely on this app as your sole source of guidance for significant decisions.
Adults only. 3rd Chair is for people aged 18 and over. You confirm this when you create an account, and by using the app without an account you confirm it too. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18 we will delete it.
Acceptable use. Don't use the app to harass others, to get advice on harming anyone, or to attempt to abuse, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.
Artificial intelligence. Replies are generated by an AI, not a person. How it works, what it is not, and the safeguards around it are set out at 3rdchair.ai/ai, which forms part of these terms.
Your content. What you write stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to process it to run the service for you. We do not publish it, and the games and examples on the site are written by us, never taken from anyone's conversation.
Copyright and unlawful-content notices. 3rd Chair does not host public user content, but if you believe something on the site infringes your copyright or is otherwise unlawful, email support@3rdchair.ai with a link to the material, a description of the problem, your contact details and — for copyright — a statement that you own the work or act for the owner. We act on valid notices promptly and will tell you what we did. This is our single point of contact for notices under the EU Digital Services Act and for copyright notices under the US DMCA.
Emails. We send account emails (password resets) and, only if you turn them on, check-ins and session preps about your own conversations. Every such email carries an unsubscribe link, and the setting lives in Settings. We do not send marketing email.
Availability. The service is provided "as is" without warranties. We may change or discontinue features at any time.
Termination. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which permanently removes your data.
